A workspace of your own
Each workspace is its own dev machine: a separate system user on your server, SSH-key login and a basic toolset: git, curl, build-essential, tmux.
The BeAdmin module creates isolated workspaces on your server: each has its own user, SSH access, a persistent tmux session and an AI coding agent on top. The agent runs on your own API key.
A workspace is a separate user, SSH access, a persistent session and an agent. Workspaces are created and managed from the panel.
Each workspace is its own dev machine: a separate system user on your server, SSH-key login and a basic toolset: git, curl, build-essential, tmux.
A persistent tmux session survives a dropped connection and a closed laptop: reconnect and pick up where you left off.
The panel shows a ready-made connection string: copy it into your terminal and you are in the agent session.
Agents are installed from official packages, with auto-update turned off. The panel controls the version, and you update the agent with a button.
We don’t sell tokens: the agent runs on your key. Set one shared key per server or a separate key per workspace.
Create, rename, start, stop, restart and delete workspaces, add and remove SSH keys.
A workspace is a separate user with no access to your sites. The agent inside it runs in a sandbox, and the resources of all workspaces are capped.
The agent runs in a sandbox (bubblewrap). Without a sandbox the AI provider is not installed: installation refuses rather than leave the agent without isolation.
A workspace user has no access to your sites on this server.
The agent gets the API key through a socket rather than from a file in the workspace, and each workspace can only get its own key.
All workspaces together use no more than 2 CPU cores and no more than half of the server’s RAM. A heavy build run by an agent won’t take all the memory.
From installing the panel to your first prompt to the agent.
Install BeAdmin on your server by following the guide — the module, the agent and the workspaces are set up in the panel from there.
Install the module in the panel and choose which AI provider to set up on the server.
Add an SSH key and an API key: a shared one for the server or one just for this workspace.
Copy the ready-made connection string from the panel and run it in your terminal: the beadmin-aibox-attach command opens your tmux session.
From a solo developer to a team: everyone gets a workspace of their own.
The agent session lives on the server, not on your computer: connect from any device that has an SSH client and your key.
Hand the agent a big task and close the laptop: the tmux session keeps running on the server, and you can come back any time.
A separate workspace for each developer: their own user, their own SSH keys and their own session.
If your AI provider is unavailable in your country, set up the agent on a BeAdmin server where it is available and work with it remotely over SSH.
The price depends on the number of workspaces and AI providers. The longer the billing period, the bigger the discount.
From 1 to 100 per server. The first workspace is free.
The more workspaces you have, the cheaper each additional one gets.
Without a licence you get one workspace and one AI provider. More workspaces and providers need a licence.
The price covers workspaces and AI providers. The API key is your own: we don’t sell tokens.
Vetted hosting providers with the panel ready out of the box. The module needs a plan with at least 4 GB of RAM, and you can pick a server location where your AI provider is available.
Proven over 15 years in hosting. Your VPS with BeAdmin is ready to go out of the box.
European reliability made simple. Launch BeAdmin with your VPS in just one click.

The calculator above works it out: the price depends on the number of workspaces, the number of AI providers and the billing period. One workspace and one AI provider can be used for free, no licence needed.
Yes. The agent runs on your own API key, and we don’t sell tokens. You can set one shared key per server or a separate key per workspace. The key is not stored in the workspace files: the agent gets it through a socket. Details are in the article “Provider API keys”.
Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI) and Grok Build (xAI). Codex and Grok Build work only with an API key from their own provider: signing in with a ChatGPT subscription or an xAI account is not supported. We keep updating our modules and will soon add new providers.
An ordinary VPS or dedicated server running Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04, 24.04, 26.04 or Debian 12, 13 with at least 4 GB of RAM will do. One server can host up to 100 workspaces.
No. A workspace user has no access to the sites on this server, and the agent itself runs in a sandbox. All workspaces together use no more than 2 CPU cores and half of the server’s RAM.
Nothing: the tmux session lives on the server and survives a dropped connection and a closed laptop. Reconnect with the same command and pick up where you left off.
With one SSH command: the panel shows a ready-made connection string with the beadmin-aibox-attach command. You log in with the SSH key you added to the workspace in the panel. Details are in the article “Workspaces and access”.
Install BeAdmin, create a workspace and connect with one command. One workspace is free.
